Raffaele Fiore

Raffaele Fiore was born in Naples in 1961. He began to paint at a very young age, following an inclination that emerged at school and soon turned into a passion. The effective entry into the world of art and painting is in Turin in the early 1980s. His desire to represent reality by updating the teaching of the great masters of Italian art of the past leads him to enhance the expressive potential of a naturally versatile and refined pictorial manual skill through a careful and constant study of color, techniques, composition, light. An uninterrupted experimental tension also brings him closer to the practice of sketches and portraits; apparently simple worlds, but in reality an exercise of extreme technical difficulty and an expressive challenge for any painter. In 1993 he moved to Tuscany, where he still lives and works. He refines and enriches his professional experience by collaborating for some years in the reproduction of the Italian and European classics of the nineteenth century with some of the most renowned artisan shops of the artistic heart of old Florence but an now acquired expressive maturity brings him back to the personal “realistic research” undertaken in the early years. These were years dedicated to the study of still lifes, seascapes and the “Venetian Reflections” where all the skill and expressive vivacity of his art is now tangible, such as to allow him a truthful and conscious representation. But the Tuscan landscape is the real protagonist of his research. The beauty of this land becomes the primary reason for inspiration and its wonderful views, investigated with a naturalistic gaze, become vibrant with the changing of the light and through the soft and fast brushstrokes. In his paintings Fiore proposes a personal vision, rich in interpretative meanings, enhancing the aesthetic value. An undoubted talent and a property of technical means that have been refined in the intense pictorial practice, never separated from a constant inner research, constitute the most solid values of the continuous rise and evolution of this painter. His painting has enjoyed considerable acclaim from the very beginning, Exhibiting in Italy and abroad, his artworks found a place in numerous private collections.
